Jose R. Santiago serves as Assistant County Counsel for the County of Passaic. He is responsible for advising the Board of Chosen Freeholders on a broad range of issues, consults with various County Departments in legal matters, including contracts, and litigation. He is currently assigned to the Freeholder Committee on Planning and Economic Development.

A Paterson native, Jose has worked full time in the County Counsel's Office since January 2001. Prior to working in the County Counsel's Office, Jose was in private practice where he handled civil litigation. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers University, New Brunswick in 1984 and received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1987. Jose is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey.
