Michael H. Glovin, an Assistant County Counsel, is the longest-serving Assistant in the Passaic County Counsel Office. He was appointed an Assistant in January of 1981. During his 20 years of service, he has represented the County in almost every area including the establishment of the County's self-insurance funds, creation of the Departments of Human Services and Health, and the purchase of the Sterling Forest tract in West Milford and Ringwood, NJ. He has, over the last several years, often assisted the Constitutional Officers of the County and handled several election cases on behalf of the County Clerk.
He graduated Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in 1974 and has his law degree from New York Law School. Prior to coming to work for Passaic County, he served a clerkship with the Honorable Carmen Ferrante, Presiding Judge of the Family Part of the New Jersey Superior Court in Passaic County, from 1979 to 1980.
